DPW

The DPW is responsible for repair and maintenance of public Borough roadways. Drainage maintenance and repair as well as snow removal are major functions of this department. Other responsibilities include storm related debris and brush removal and maintenance of the Hamburg Recreational Fields on Gingerbread Castle Road.

To report damage to local roadways (potholes, roadway debris, litter, graffiti and – even animal carcasses) please contact the Hamburg DPW at the number below.

To report damage on STATE ROADWAYS ONLY, I.E.: Route 23 or Route 94, Just go to the NJDOT Home Page at: www.nj.gov/transportation. Then simply click on the Pothole Reporting Link. There you will find easy to follow instructions on how to report a pothole, roadway debris, litter, graffiti and – even animal carcasses. This site also provides links to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, NJ TRANSIT and county pothole hotlines.
